The Gospel’s not about escaping earth for His Kingdom …
But invading earth with His Kingdom.
The Gospel’s not about escaping earth for His Kingdom …
But invading earth with His Kingdom.
Life got a lot simpler when the Lord taught me that not every problem …
Has my name on it.
Everyone’s an expert on how to …
Until they have to.
I love Godly mercy but discreetly conceal carry.
If that seems like a contradiction, then maybe you’ve confused faith with comfort zones and mushy sentimentalities.
Where God sent me, however, life was raw and edgy …
And evil real.
Yet I saw lives redeemed on a daily basis:
Whether in the ‘hood to ransom those trapped in addiction …
Or protecting my household from a deranged stalker trying to intimidate me because I helping teenage victims who were sexually abused by his cult’s so-called “apostolic worker.”
So before you judge me, first explain why you’re not also going beyond the fringes of polite society to rescue those lost in great darkness.
In the meantime, may God send more where others fear to tread.
(Btw, I take gun control seriously. That’s why I go to the range – to insure good control of my EDC Sig 365xl. Here’s a full mag of tightly clustered rounds at 30 feet. Not bad! 😎)

Those who never pay a price for their beliefs …
Should not be upset when their beliefs are accorded all the worth they are due.
We need accomplished people who’ve mastered a vocation that allows them to minister …
Rather than unaccomplished people who seek “ministry” as their first vocation.
Sigh.
Why are those most adamant about promoting the need for “apostles” today, as they define it …
(With the implication that they are one) …
The least likely to have any real sucess at actually being one, as the New Testament actually shows it?
I guess it beats having a real job, huh?
As I grow in my faith, I become less anxious when my plans don’t pan out as expected …
And more expectant that God has other plans.
Say a lot, but use few words.
Personally hearing from God on matters of personal relevance is great.
Beyond that, however, I reject all attempts to validate, interpret, or add to His external revelation of Scripture through claims of trans-Biblical revelation …
“Prophetic” or otherwise.
Doing so leads to the absurdity of subjugating God’s authoritative and objective written word of Scripture to our own subjective — and often flawed — perceptions.
In this age of itchy ears and ungrounded faith …
It is amazing how easily even the elect are deceived with big lies wrapped in half truths by those who presume otherwise.
Each age and culture has its own challenges.
The challenges we face in the West today demand authentic Christians of faith, intellect and resolve.
In contrast, “Christians” stuck in existentialism, relativism and other leftist ideologies have contributed to the moral decay and cultural malaise we see all around us.
They have been weighed in the balance and found wanting.
It’s time, instead, for real Christians who confidently affirm God’s Word …
To once again boldly proclaim what’s truly true, really real and rightly right.
Only then can we expect to bring hope and substance to a waiting world.
The two main criteria most Christians look for in a “church” today are:
Do they like the “Lead Pastor” and the “service” he puts on for them each week?
Interestingly, these are post-Biblical concepts not found in the New Testament.
In fact, both are contrary to what the New Testament actually teaches.
In the New Testament, there are no “lead pastors” but rather multiple elders (plural) with other diverse leaders …
Who equip US for works of ministry.
That’s why the New Testament also says that when we gather together, ministry is from one another to each other …
Rather than from the “one.”
It’s time to repent and be the Church once again.
Tragically, some throw off the limitations of pastoral monopoly …
Only to fall prey to the tyranny of modern day claims about “apostolic” hierarchy.
Maybe that’s why the New Testament instead prescribes the safety of multiple elders to watch over local churches …
And protect His people against both.
Simple, huh?
But when will we ever learn?
Charity and ministry are good, but not when we treat those we seek to help …
As “others” rather than “brothers.”
When possible, be at peace and move on …
By letting those who don’t appreciate your presence appreciate your absence.
Cheap Faith:
Naïve social media posts on a doctrinal position …
Without first making it work in your own life instead.
Those who use Christ to promote themselves, their “ministries” or their agendas …
Know not Christ.
Don’t like what you see in the world around you?
When “church” becomes a homogenized hierarchy of spiritual triviality, what do you expect from the larger culture?
Let repentance begin with the household of God.
Unless our nation again affirms basic concepts like liberty, faith and virtue, as historically rooted in Biblical precepts …
The Leftist agenda against all that is true, real and right – under the pretense of “tolerance” – will keep advancing.
The New Legalism insists that we all obey its rule …
That there must be no rules.
Any metaphor, if taken too literally, bumps up against absurdities.
Like some forms of Christian mysticism, which say the Church literally is the Bride of Christ …
While others say literally the Body of Christ.
I guess that’s gonna be some weird honeymoon, huh?
By today’s standards …
Jesus would be called an intolerant hater who judged others with oppressive statements like “repent” and “sin no more”.
The Bible says we often get the government we deserve rather than want …
Which is why good government must start with us.
When evil demands compliance …
Integrity demands resistance.
Books, blogs, conferences and social media – oh my!
But are those Christian authors, speakers and “influencers” really living what they’re peddling?
When it comes to blowing their own horns …
Many toot without good fruit.
